thursday = embroidery

my current wip:

today's vintage embroidery transfers make me think of being cozy, which is exactly what I want when fall comes along. I can't get enough of wrapping myself in vintage quilts & hand-knit sweaters while curled up on the couch...

the transfers were in the original mail-order envelope, which had this great graphic:

happy stitching!

Hi! I saw the photo of your camera embroidery on Flickr and thought I would pop over to your blog and say hi :) I LOVE this embroidery you are doing, it's looking fantastic and I can't wait to see the finished piece!

i'm really hoping the entire series ends up in flickr... that would make the perfect theme for the 3 baby quilts i need to make for friends.

Is that camera pattern your own design? Love it!

And love the vintage patterns, too. You find some great ones!

I grew up in Williamsport, and fondly remember the Sunday Grit. I think it ceased publication while I was in HS in the 80s.

Oh! I'm working on a set of hoops for hubby with cameras! Can you tell me where I might find this pattern?

I love to keep myself worn in my own creations too. My favorite quilts to sleep in happen to be the one I made. I guess it's the pride I take in my own creations and the fabric I choose to. I picked nice and soft materiel to make my quilt.
