thursday = embroidery

this past weekend I put lottie aside to work on a special piece that I'm donating to an auction at work:

we bid on donated items with cans of food & then the cans are in turn donated to harvesters. its a really fun way to help out a wonderful organization. plus, I work with a very cool, creative bunch of people so the donations are amazing!

moving on...this week's vintage embroidery patterns are - birds:

there are 5 different designs plus a color key in this set so click on over here if you'd like them all.

happy stitching!

Very Cool! I love all of your work, you are very inspiring.

I hope the auctions go well, such a fantastic idea to bid with tinned food which is then donated!

Love it! Where do you find your shadow box frames?

I LOVE your birds!!! They´re so delicate... I´m finishing an embroidery work using one of them and it made me so happy! :)
There´s a photo of it on my last post (June 10th). (When it´s finished I´ll let you know, OK?)
Thank´s for all the gorgeous freebies!!

I love what you did with the old McCall's pattern! Can you provide details/instructions? I have lots of my grandmother's patterns! Thanks!

I would love to have some details about how you completed the framed and embroidered pattern so that I has a 3D look.
