my ultimate thrifting score

I believe this might just be the best thing I have ever thrifted:

that there's a 1978, signed Charles Harper...and I am one lucky & grateful girl.

I got it last weekend at an estate sale for 60% off the original price.

the only thing that could make this story any better is if I had gotten there earlier & bought the other print they had as well.

but I'm not complaining...oh no...I'm looking at it & sending out a big thank you into the universe.

{p.s. have a great weekend & if you're interested in the shop update check back here Saturday for more info, although the actual update will be on Sunday}

Of course you were destined to find this- you were born in the Year of the Rooster!

All I can say is WOW! I adore Charley Harper and have since I was a kid and got The Golden Book of Biology (which I still have). This is one of the most glorious of his prints I have ever since.

That rooster has such character. That caterpillar is going to be so sorry he decided to wait until tomorrow to build his chrysalis.

Keep Stitching,
Janet

Oh. My. Lord. Charley Harper is my favorite modern artist. As soon as I saw the print, I thought - "no way, she couldn't possibly have thrifted it." I think your title of thrifting queen can now be conferred with confidence. Congrats!

thanks everyone! I didn't think I could love this print any more but thanks to my sister Mern & her reminding me that I was born in the year of the rooster it has even more meaning :)

Ughh, I was just looking at this on his website! I am so jealous, wonderful find!

I would kill to find a large print like this of the baboon from the Old Navy cards.

That is too cool! I've never been to an estate sale. I've never even heard of an opportunity to attend an estate sale around here...
