I think Embroidery Day really helps get me through to Friday…Thursday can be a tough day because you want it to be Friday but its just not.
When I saw this image on flickr I knew I had to stitch it up.
I don’t know what I’m going to do with this yet so its not totally finished but I couldn’t wait to show it because I’m really happy with the way it turned out {although its really more orange than yellow but it scanned funny}. I just printed it out onto the kind of paper you can send through your printer & then transfer to fabric with an iron. Then I just stitched over the black lines.
I also wanted to share this uber cute pattern, which I bought yesterday:
{photo used with permission}
You can buy it via Aimee’s etsy’s shop. She delivered it lightening fast digitally – I wish I could whip it up just as quickly!

i'm going to ebay right now to find that pattern!!
good stuff, g! Do you have Aimee's book Doodle Stitching?
Is it time for "sunshine on a stick?" I LOVED that guy when I was a kid. I can pretty much recite the whole bit where he makes fruit juice popsicles in an ice cube tray...
I also adore that squirrel! I might have to add him to my to-do list.
Your blog is so inspiring and fun, I love reading your daily posts. It helps keep me on track with my daily crafting too. You're on the first page of my Google Reader. Keep up the great posts!
That is squirrel is really cute. Can not wait to see what you do with it.
I loved that guy when I was little. But is does also look a bit like twinkie the kid too. I felt a bit old when it said 80's I was in grade school in the 80's it does not seem that long ago right?
Your squirrel is adorable! I love the patterns in his tail.
Oh that Hanker for a Hunka Cheese ad brought me right back!
Your photo of Time for Timer had me on YouTube for 20 minutes at work today reliving all of my childhood saturday morinings! I just love those animated fruits too!
Great post! So many fun things. that vogart is too cute and I love the other pattern you scooped up too.
Such a cute patern- I'm loving veggies right now. It's a pity I can't stitch any faster as there are a lot of cute patterns out there, and my "to do" list grows by the day....
Good luck Heather!
I do have Aimee's book sweetjessie...sadly just like my copy of "Bend the Rules" {which some nice person recommended in a previous post - thanks!}, "Stitches", "The Crafter's Companion" & many more - it has sat idle while I occupy my time with less productive activities {aka watching tv}.
You guys are so funny going down memory lane with the commercials of our youth! I'm sorrry you won't get that time on YouTube back SmartyPants!
And no Rebekah {and others who were taken back} the 80's were not that long ago & please don't even go there, since while you were in Grade school {you little whipper-snapper you} I was in High School {gasp!}.
I know how you feel Claire...my list is far longer than my attention span!
Glad you all enjoyed the post, links & transfers - we aim to please & certainly do appreciate your comments. Now for some reason I'm hankering for some cheese...
awwww...that squirrel is adorable!
i love the yellow in his body and tail too. great job!
