popping in again to share an embroidered piece I completed a couple weeks ago:
it was inspired by this piece I found on pinterest:

to create my version I used this pattern from the hoop love flickr group & looking at it I just realized I forgot to add the little flags at the top...oops!
also, since I'm here I figured I might as well also post a vintage embroidery pattern or two too :)

If you haven't added the flags yet- don't forget to put them so they show the actual direction of the wind (which is blowing into the sails). I see so many images of ships with the flags trailing toward the back end of the ship, which is wrong, because the wind blowing in that direction would cause the ship to come to a dead stop. ^_^
