I am loving these photos -- especially the colorful Lazy U Motel -- but I really freaked when I saw the Zesto! As a teenager, I spent countless summer evenings in the Zesto parking lot (Zesto being not only a popular hangout, but also the designated turnaround at one end of Bartlesville's main street). This is such a great series!
Spent many a bit of pocket change at the Zesto in Norfolk Nebraska...now closed down. BUT...the good news is....there is one running strong in north Omaha. I hit it every spring when I fly in there to go stormchasing. It's a ritual...and their ice cream truly is a cut above. jbe in tucson

Liked your Zesto picture. I used to work at a Zesto in Brownsville, Texas. Bought back memories of my senior year in high school ' 65 -' 66.
Oh cool! We still have many Zestos in Southern Indiana!
