the one where I use a song* lyric, vintage pillowcases & a fabric dye pen {for the first time}:
despite a little bleeding here & there I'm pretty happy with the way it came out!
in other embroidery news I lucked out at a recent estate sale & got a bunch of loose patterns for a $1 - this week's design was by far the weirdest & therefore my favorite:
happy stitching!

Those pillowcases are AWESOME! I have a thing for embroidered bed linens... :)
Wow! I love the pillowcases! You are so talented! The bowling pins ARE weird. I like them, too! : )
you talented woman, you!!!
i love the pilla cases. . . just "dreamy" :)
also. . . i CANNOT wait to embroider this pattern!
our new babes is SOOOO getting this beaut on a onesie :)
p.s. 1.00 dolla!?!
you always find the best deals!
I looove these! We've been using vintage pillow cases on our bed lately as well, but your's are much more striking.
The pillowcases look great. I love that the dye allows the original design of the fabric to show through.
Love the bowling pattern too, so silly! :)
The floral pattern showing through the dye really makes it - wouldn't be nearly as cool with an opaque paint effect. Awesome.
Before I scrolled down all the way I thought those were some happy wine bottles!
I love that song. Perfect lyric for a slumbering head!
Oh, lovely! Such a nice impact.
I love and also am creeped out by the vintage patterns that involve things made into characters that are obviously self harming. Like bowling pins enjoying being knocked over. Or a tomato cavorting with a fork. What kind of SICK tomato is that? Well, some people are into that sort of thing, I guess.
Oh, I just LOVE your pillowcases! And the perfect quotation! Now I want to embroider quotations onto my pillowcases...
thanks everyone!
I'm so excited a couple of you noticed how the dye let the design show through - I really wanted that affect so was happy to find the FabricMate pen I used at Michaels.
if you embroider something with the bowling pins or do something with pillowcases I'd love to see guys :)
