if you are the owner of a dog who's scared of fireworks, like I am, then you dread this coming weekend. as much as I appreciate the historical significance of the 4th & enjoy the extra day off from work, for his sake I'm just always really happy when it's over.

I thought about sedating my pup this weekend but we're just going to try and get thru it the best we can.
Ugh - Yes! I've got two dogs who are scared of fireworks. We're going to try the room with the shades pulled and the TV on *loud* during prime boom time. Good luck.

The embroidery pattern is darling! My two dogs will be frantic the whole time too, barking and running around. My vet has given me some valium for them so they don't get so stressed out. Happy Fourth!!
Aww, these are so cute. One of my favorites for sure. I'll be linking. Last year our dog managed to open up a kitchen cabinet and crawl inside. Poor thing. I think this year we'll be staying home with her.
glad to know i'm not the only one, my dog is also scared of fireworks so the 4th of july AND new year's eve are not so much fun for him -- same goes for thunder and lightening... thankfully he doesn't bark or do anything destructive, he just paces around the house, panting, and will follow me or my hubby around and be glued to our side. thanks so much for the dog sampler pattern!
