I know they are all hideous pieces and completely unwearable today, but I have to say I do wish more people still dressed with such personality. I'll take giant contrast patchwork point hems and pink daisy-splosion over velour sweats any day.
Holy mackeroly. Actresses Shelley Hack on cover and Season Hubley in photo 5. I was actually crocheting and wearing stuff like this in 1972. Yikes, I'm old!Denisehttp://needlework.craftgossip.com
wohooo, I have some of the old sewing books they have pictures like this as well! lets knit woman lets knit!
Help! I'm being attacked by doilies!
I love the ID-ing of all the models/actresses!Once again, I could see some cool/hip girl totally making these rock today. Except for the poor pin-the-doily-on-the-pink-sweater. Umm, her hair is cute!
I can see these being worked up in some modern soft yarns. The shapes are great although I'm not really sure about all of the color combinations.
I'm not sure how carefree I would be if that dude in the last picture was lurking over my shoulder. Yikes!
thanks for your comments everyone - I love to hear what you have to say when I post things like this!
