my new italian fella

an accordion has finally found it's way to me {thanks again marco}! and I think he's very handsome indeed...all that red sort of makes me lightheaded I love it so :)

I had to call my mom after my first lesson last week to thank her for all the piano I took as a girl...and to apologize for not practicing as much as I should have. it's funny how much more you practice when you're paying for the lessons yourself ;)

sadly, while practicing over the weekend one of the keys broke so I will have to get it repaired - which is easer said than done since there are not many people in the area who still work on accordions...so wish me luck!

oh its a beauty! those red bass buttons are like rubies does it bellow out great musty air? haha i played a red italian 80 bass accordion, but sold it to cover a humungous long-distance-love induced mammoth phone bill. i still miss it! but i won the love over ;)

Too bad you don't live in Minneapolis, we have an accordion repair place you'd love, its in an old white castle.

Wow - fabulous - so will you do a video of yourself playing so we can enjoy it too?

What a gorgie! I'd comment more, but I fear the longer I look at your new beloved, my keyboard will be swimming in drool.

Good luck with your lessons!

Gorgeous! Hope you can find someone to fix the broken key. So when do we get to hear a little accordian?

an accordion repair shop in an old white castle?! that sounds heavenly kat!

I'm sorry to hear you had to part with your accordion pilgrim, but it sounds like it was for a good cause :) and yes, he was a little musty at first but he seems better now...or I've just become immune to it!

and yes miss sews-it-all & piecefulafternoon - I may post some videos when I get better ;)
