I don't have any of my own embroidery work to show today, but instead I'd like to share a recent stitched purchase:
when I saw this beautiful necklace by septemberhouse on flickr I had to have it!
I made the holder using a xmas ornament I recently thrifted, here's what it use to look like:
a little paint, a wooden plaque from michael's & some scrapbooking paper...my kind of easy project.
and of course I haven't forgotten this week's vintage embroidery design, which is yet another of the stamped linen girls:
happy stitching :)

that holder that you transformed has me in pure awe!
hi! i've been subscribed to your blog for a while and I LOVE it! Thank's for being such a great and inspiring blogger!
I found a vintage (I'm pretty sure it's late 70's or early 80's, so I know it's not really vintage, but it's older than me...) book of iron on transfers that my mom and I used to use for all sorts of projects. I was wondering if you wanted me to scan some for you to give away on your blog? If maybe there are any motifs, or specific patterns you're looking for that I can give you to put up?
And it's totally fine if you don't need them =) You can contact me here: acid.sunshine@gmail.com
Thanks for being wonderful!
Love the deer! I've been inspired by embroidered jewelry too lately and am working on an embroidered felt cameo for Mother's Day.
