I gave a copy of this book to my sister a Christmas or two ago and seeing those illustrations again reminds why I wanted to keep it for myself. Particularly those blackbirds in pie. I love that little drawing!
I'm a designer too and appreciate your Charley Harper find. Perhaps you'd like to see my recent cookbook find here: http://ohmydoodle.blogspot.com/2009/12/ham-croquettes.html

Love this! Mine is the "New" edition from 1964 given to my parents when they got married. Different illustrator.
I adore Charley Harper's illustrations! I need to find me a copy of this book. :)
