Raymor was an Italian pottery company and I believe they were affiliated in some way with Richards in NY (who were distributors of Eames and other modernist designers). Their pieces can fetch a few hundred dollars especially if you can find out which artist actually designed and worked on the piece.

I hope this helps a little!

Cat sitting oh so casually on the ittybitty chair is fantabulous!!
I could see that being on the cover of a magazine.

We used to have one of those little chairs too. They used to make a lot of $$ on ebay.

those cosco chairs are extremely popular and still bring good money on ebay, especially if in great condition (at least $50 and up depending on color, condition, etc). i have been searching for one for months that is the right color for my home and in good condition (as a toddler chair for my 2-year old son). what a find! :)

I love the little booster seat. A friend of mine has one for her kiddo, and I think they're so cute!

thank you so much for the info Kaye! and thank you everyone for your comments :)

sadly there is a small crack in the back of the chair top behind the cat...but I couldn't pass it up. I'll just have to make sure the cat sits there all the time to hide it!

hi dear! I really love your blog and your fine taste for vintage stuff!
the plate you've posted is a vintage '70s plate manufactured by the italian Bitossi and imported/distributed by Raymor and could be designed by the famous designer/architect Ettore Sottsass (but I could not swear!!!)who cooperated with Bitossi from early '50s to late '70s.
hope this will be helpful for you and excuse my bad english!! (i'm italian hehehe...)
ciao ; )

Oh, how fondly and well I remember the chair your kitty is perched on so prettily. My daughter was born in 1979 and she used it until her brother came along in 1984 and took it over a year or so later. And many children after him; as I used it for those many children I babysat over the next 25 years. In a pinch, it was even known to be used by this then-much-skinnier Mom--which goes to attest to it's sturdiness. It seemed to be everyone's favorite perch--just like kitty. It was marketed as a booster chair and the height was adjustable. The seat could be removed for cleaning, which I loved. Then just stick it in the sink and wash. Costco also put out my favorite high chair that I could not bring myself to part with for almost 30 yrs, as it too was all plastic and cleaning it was as simple as giving it a shower. Ahhh, the memories!! Thank you for them!!

hi!

i was so surprised to see your raymor art pottery! i have the same piece, and have been scouring the net for more info about it but have come up with zilch. yours was the only "hit" i've had using google image search. oddly, mine is marked RAM 38/72, and stamped with 6/303. i can't offer more info than what kaye posted, but if i find out anything, i'll let you know! p.s. i'm a thrifting graphic designer, too :) ---carla
