I really, really want to go thrifting with you. I love the pic of the couple on the boat, and the ones under them!

Not to sound cheesy -- but I teared up when I saw the owl nail/string art. My parent's had that EXACT same Owl hanging up in the house I grew up in. I remember lying on the couch underneath it and making up stories about Mr. Owl. I asked my parent's about it a few months ago when I noticed it was no longer hanging up. Apparently, Mr. Owl was damaged when they moved and they threw him away. If you ever ever ever decide to sell him I would totally buy him. Thanks for posting the picture -- it really made my day and brought back some happy memories.

You find such great things! But do you sell them or are your walls just covered with paintings and art?

OMG! I had those paintings of the ballerinas when I was a kid. I am assuming they are paint by numbers...or else, by some chance of fate, you got my old childhood artwork. What a trip!!!!

Love the string owl... I spent many weekends in my youth banging nails into chipboard and then winding cotton onto them... Most of my stuff was abstract though :-)

That string art owl brought back so many memories. My father made that exact same owl when I was a kid. I remember sitting at his knee watching him put in the tiny tacks and then working the strings around them. I don't know what became of the owl he made. I have not thought of that owl in many years. Thank you for the reminder of happy memories. :)

I have to say this is the freakiest thing ever! That bird mosaic looking art work, 4th pic down, is the exact peice my grandparents had above their kitchen sink for YEARS! When they remodeled the kitchen my Aunt took it home with her to save it from the trash! Amazing that their is more of them!
