thursday = embroidery

I don't really have anything to share yet on my latest embroidery projects so I thought instead I'd show you a thrifted piece:

I got this at the thrift store for $4.98 the other day after work. I haven't put a battery in it yet to see if it works...I've just been admiring all the hand-work that someone put into it.

I've also got your weekly vintage embroidery patterns - this time its flowers from superior #154:

happy stitching!

What a steal. It's still lovely to look at, even if it turns out it can't tell you the time.

Thanks so much for posting these -- I was running out of ideas for my wool quilt embroidery and these are perfect. Love the clock (but not nearly as much as the one you made)

I love your find. Who would have ever thought of a White House clock? I would have saved it from the thrift store too. I am a bit behind but I loved the men's sweater book from the previous post. I will laugh all day with those images in my head.
