Oh my gosh! I just teared up a little. I learned to knit from the exact booklet on the right, with the pig-tail girl. My grandmother gave it to me years ago and I have no idea where it is. She passed away last year and it just made me think of her.
the illustrations are *rad*! :) i would love to learn to knit. . . i know. . . i think i am the only one around you hasn't picked it up yet! ;) p.s. was the baby knit projects inside with the "learn to knit" booklet? funny to have teens learning how to knit baby things. . . teach em' young!
I took one of your cool 50's images and made an embroidered piece. I can't find where on your site the original is.... I took a photo of it and it's on my flickr account.

These are great! I don't knit, but I can't help but buying these as well when I come across them, such great photos and graphics!
Oh boy. That knitting slumber party illustration is AWESOME. I want to live in that time, man. I missed out.
I have the one with the girl in pigtails. It was in a big box of booklets my mil had saved over the years.
