mom*made

a box full of homemade love was delivered to me by the ups man last friday:

there was a sweater:

cookies:

and a quilt:

my mom - she's a keeper.

she also sent me this wonderful sweater awhile ago, I just hadn't gotten a chance to photograph it:

the earrings I'm wearing are hard to see but they're really lovely. they were made by my niece lily & given to me for xmas.

wearing something handmade by a loved one is like wearing a hug!

is that hokey? I don't care if it is...that's how it feels to me :)

It really does feel like a hug. :) I *love* the sweaters your mom made and that quilt is gorgeous!

I'm also having a call for people who might be interested in doing a weekly painting challenge. Thought you might be interested. If so, pop on by and lemme know. :) hugs!

What great sweaters! Do you know the patterns she used? I'm always looking for something new to knit.

my mom will be so flattered by all your comments – thank you!

here’s more info about the patterns for those of you interested:

the brown sweater is the embroidered yoke pullover from the fall/winter issue of knit.1 magazine. {http://www.knit1mag.com/fashion.php – scroll all the way to the bottom, it’s the far left one in the second to last row}

The rusty sweater is from the premier issue of debbiee bliss’ knitting magazine. {http://www.royalyarns.com/knitting-patterns/debbie-bliss-knitting-magazine-v1/DB-MAGPI-Debbie-Bliss-Donegal-Tweed-Chunky-Jacket.html}

Whoa - your mom is a keeper! Although I can't complain, my mom is constantly bestowing me with awesomeness as well. The sweaters look great on you, and that quilt looks fab on your bed. It compliments the style of your headboard so well!
