I thrifted these:
the woman who checked me out mentioned what a lovely frame I'd gotten...when I explained that I also liked the needlework she looked at me like I had two heads, both with bad taste.
the painting is signed and dated '32
p.s. thank you so much for all your nice comments about the photos from yesterday & for making me feel a little less weird :)

IMO there is nothing better than finding an original, signed painting at a thrift store, period.
Let's face it, the God of thrift store scores is your best friend.
I love the Barbie shoes photos by the way. I'm starting to enjoy taking photos of tiny things myself.
I know how the thrifting goes, what I love, others usually won't. They look at me like, huh? and just don't get it. Well, I totally love both of your pictures! Good going :)
ohhh swoon.. I love the crewel embroidery you found!!!!! LOVE IT!
you have the BEST thrifting luck! i'm always so jealous!
I like the embroidery too, but it's on a wrong frame. It should be slightly smaller and oval to make the embroidery look better. :-)
im glad it's not just me! I bought a lovely crosstsitch budgie picture from a thrift store and the lady made fun of me! I think your flowers are adorable :)
