Hey - I was surfing around to find out about him myself, because I came across one of his prints (for $2!) at a thrift shop and bought it. It's a Calypso Lady, and I noticed her male counterpart just sold on eBay for $50 - woo hoo! The frame on the eBay piece was the same as mine, and the print is marked 1963. Your frame actually looks very similar. Unfortunately, the frame on mine is in far worse condition - the woodgrain contact paper is peeling away around the front edges. I've got to do something about that....

My wife and I live in Australia and found a Robert Lyons print [?] in an old antique shop. Bought it and it has a 1963 date. Again we also can not find out anything about Robert Lyons. We assume he may be Jamaican and the print is of a Calypso Caribbean Woman. Any info would be good. What was a Robert Lyons print doing in Australia? Tim & Gail Mew
Well there is a Robert Lyons in the play 'Pitmen Painters' by Lee Hall which I saw this afternoon in London. He may be the same man. He was a tutor to a group of miners who became amateur painters under his tutelage. They became famous through his connexions with Henry Moore and Ben Nicholson. He was eventually promoted to a professorship at Edinburgh. Seems likely the same man as he was also a painter.
It's 2020 now and I now have the same print from the 60's have you found out any info? I may have others from him but the signatures are covered by the frame

I just got a robert lyons at the thrift shop. it's a really cool looking cat. I'll post it on flickr. Did you find out anything?

Hi there picked up 2 warrior prints. Framed and ready to hang owner says her mother bought them around 1970.
