monday = thrifted

oh boy, it was another fantastic thrifting weekend!

first there was a wonderful church rummage sale where one of the ladies must have cleaned out her sewing room...and then the estate sale of a cake decorating crafty lady:

I missed out on some embroidery transfers at the estate sale...as I was coming in I saw a lady checking out with some...I'd rather not know dang it!

{I guess I can't complain though since this is only a selection of what I got...there was more; including coloring books, patterns, more fabric & more cake decorating cuties}

hope you had a good weekend too!

Oh man, when you find good stuff, you find good stuff! Those scraps make my heart go pitter patter.

And that owl? How much do I love that?!?!

and I meant to mention, the Vogart Textile prints and iron-on pictures... I've done some testing and you can tell which will work by their texture. If they feel "puffy" they still have lots of color and will work well. If they feel flat then, not. I've had some good luck with them.

Wowza! I'd have bought everything you did - and those prices! Don't you just (literally) pinch yourself and make sure you aren't dreaming when you hit a sale like that? Good for you!

Oh man - I must not be living in a place where people put out good stuff. I've never found anything that great! So jealous.

O.M.G. Words can't describe the bounty you picked up this weekend! All that vintage X-mas stuff is to die for (or as Rachel Zoe would say "D.I.E.)

Oh my lord, I would have clawed someone's eyes out trying to get to those quilt blocks if I was at that estate sale.... We don't have yard sales around here that are nearly as awesome... Methinks I'll have to make a sleepover trip to Austin sometime soon.
