neat things

Just a quick hello to share this great project from ali edwards:

{photo used with permission}

I’m always trying to find these kinds of projects – quick & easy but packing a lot of bang! {She did her's with paper but I was thinking it might be fun to try it with fabric - using my new friend fusible webbing}

I've got going to Michaels on my to-do list today actually...totally a coincidence I swear!

Oh, that IS neat! What a great thing to do with teeny scraps of fabric too small to sew with.

That would be so stellar with fabric!

This project is so pretty, yet simple. I was wondering what kind of frame you used. Do I need something like a shadow box frame because of the raised dots holding the butterflies in place or will a regular frame work?

mktngmaven - I didn't actually make this piece, Ali Edwards did {http://aliedwards.typepad.com/_a_/2008/02/weekend-creat-2.html}. She might have answered your question in the comments of her post so you might check there.

I am still planning on trying this project myself and was planning on trying it with a regular frame and scrapbooking foam dots that aren't too thick.

If you make one, let me know how it turns out and how you handle the whole frame issue!
