monday = thrifted

While still getting over my shock of being blog of the week on décor 8, I was further sent over the moon by a mention from Bowie on print & pattern !

WOW! I seriously have a bruise on my arm where I pinched it this morning when I went for my daily visit...

I hope that if you’ve come here via print & pattern you’ll come back often, especially on Tuesday’s, which is fabric day. {You can read more about my blog schedule over there on the right}. I’ve got a fun selection of swatches tomorrow.

Monday is thrift day and I mentioned last Friday that’d I’d show a specific owl:

There he is, over there on the left. He was spared from being painted by growing on me just as he is, but that white owl there on the right, he wasn’t so lucky.

Pretty much everything is thrifted, except that oatmeal container covered with magazine clippings – the guy made that when he was little for his mother for mother’s day. It’s a bank actually, with a slit in the top. Treasures come in all shapes and sizes around here…

See you tomorrow!

I have a grome just like that - mind has his hands in a different position and he's actually quite rare, so it would be worth something! Love the owls x

Congrats on the mention! It is nice to find another graphic designer/crafter/thrifter/book-and-fabric-lover/blogger.

hi, i'm visiting due to Print and Pattern... and it's very nice here. i've recently had a strong and unusual urge to embroider, and you've really fuelled it! i guess that as i like craft, enjoy old books, love vintage fabric and relish my trips to charity shops/tips/carboots, i'll pop in regulary!
