found these in a 1974 ladies' home journal needle & craft magazine...you could fill out an order form to send away for the purse & alphabet {yarn was not included}, the large was $25 & the small was $22 plus $1.25 postage & handling.
saturday went down the way some people predicted for lunch I had a cheeseburger & fries then chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert. I also thrifted & went to a carnival where I had cotton candy for dinner :)
I am currently working on the first of two gigantic circus letters for a friend & really enjoying doing cross-stitch again!
so I wouldn't have to think {it makes my head hurt} as I went along I charted the design onto my aida fabric with a fine tipped sharpie before getting started & made all my mistakes when it was easy to cover them up with a little dab of white paint ;)
and of course I have the weekly vintage embroidery pattern for you as well:
lately I've been very lucky & thrifted some great vintage hawaiian dresses & skirts:
but they're so long & I'm kinda short...to me floor length seems so formal & I'd really like to wear them for everyday, so I'm going to shorten them. but before I did I thought that pink one would be fun to wear for my latest accordion video:
I took a couple still photos of the dress on especially since I wanted to show what it's got going on in the back because on the hanger it doesn't really show up:
I'm not sure if there's a name for this style...or why you'd want to put pleats in the back so your trunk looked to have even more junk than it already had but I still kind of like it!
I'm a full-time graphic designer who likes to thrift, craft & take photos in my spare time.
