surprising restraint

I was not immune to the draw of target's liberty of london collection, however I really surprised myself & only bought a few things {although I would have bought every pattern in a nice simple a-line skirt if they'd had it}. it's not that it isn't all very pretty...maybe it was that there was just so much of it & so I missed that thrill of the hunt I get from thrifting.

in the end I got the swim coverup, although I'll be using it as a shirt or to sleep in:

and I could not resist the bras & undies...which is slightly embarrassing to admit, but they are pretty dang cute:

plus, wearing them under layers of winter clothes when cold weather comes again will be a fun reminder of spring :)

{have a wonderful weekend!}

  4. I really, really love the bras and undies! Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and since a friend of mine in the States was shopping for me when the collection came out I told her not to bother since I couldn't try them on. I did get a pyjama set (the one with shorts and camisole), a shirt, a wallet, and a mini-journal set.

    However, she sent me a picture of the box that's on its way to me and judging by its size, I think she may have slipped in a few other things!

  5. The more I see the collection, the more I like it. I hadn't even SEEN the stationery until I popped into Target today after reading this post. But it's all just really awesome. I really wanted the bras, but alas, couldn't find my size. I may have to return soon to snap up one of the pretty scarves before they're all gone!

  6. I bought several of the coated-canvas totes to take apart and use the fabric: handles to be made into dog collars, body for some glasses cases and whatever else I can think of.

    I bought that same cover up and shortened it to wear as a shirt. Cute!

  8. What fun finds! I had a terribly hard time saying no to the dresses myself....maybe next time.

  9. I bought some LOLFT kiddie sundresses in XL for the yardage: in cotton not poly and irresistible. To turn into a kimono, the unfortunate tube top elastic came out super easily = even more yardage!

  10. thanks everyone for your comments!

    it's so interesting to hear the different items everyone got & also how some people are going to repurpose what they got :)

    devorageller - I felt the bras ran small {I'm usually a C but had to buy a D} I had read some reviews online about this prior to shopping so made sure to try them on {usually I just grab my size & go} so you might find that makes a difference in whether or not your size really is in stock or not. good luck!!

    oh yeah,guess what...I was at target this weekend & ended up buying the blue purse! I guess my restraint isn't as strong as I thought it was :)

    you go on with your frilly underpinnings. I just went to see the collection too and went into floral overload. I bought a pretty scarf but couldn't land on a dress I had to have.
