thanks to my friend patty {hi!} I found these great new frame pendants at hobby lobby & started experimenting with how to combine them with embroidery:
I stitched the nest with eggs for a friend...and found that tiny stitching isn't something I like or am very good at. so for the next one instead of stitching myself I used a flower from a thrifted hankie:
so much easier :)
and finally, for this week's vintage embroidery transfer I have a basket of flowers with some kitties for you:
happy stitching!
***edited to add - in case you don't have a hobby lobby in your area here are links to their online store & all the different pendants they have available {all the different shapes are also available in store I believe}:
silver square
silver rectangle
brass square
silver round
So pretty! I might have to hunt down some of those pendants myself.
ReplyDeleteI love those necklaces. Such a wonderful idea! I second Cerise, I may have to find some for myself.
ReplyDeleteOMG I love this!! I keep seeing embroidered necklaces around but never knew where to get the blank pieces. Very lovely!
ReplyDeleteI've come to realize that I've been lacking in manners for not saying thanks to bloggers who post free things like patterns or tutorials, especially when you save a copy. So Thank You!
ReplyDeleteI was just at Hobby Lobby and missed seeing these - rats! Oh well, I guess they'll go on my list for next time.
I've been looking for those! We don't have Hobby Lobby here in Northern California. I wonder if I could find them at Michael's or Joann Fabrics....
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing the links! I've been trying to find these for a while now!
ReplyDeleteHappy Crafting!
These are so great! How did you manage to cut and then secure the fabric/cloth into the frame? Seems kinda hard...
