my current wip:
today's vintage embroidery transfers make me think of being cozy, which is exactly what I want when fall comes along. I can't get enough of wrapping myself in vintage quilts & hand-knit sweaters while curled up on the couch...
the transfers were in the original mail-order envelope, which had this great graphic:
happy stitching!
Hi! I saw the photo of your camera embroidery on Flickr and thought I would pop over to your blog and say hi :) I LOVE this embroidery you are doing, it's looking fantastic and I can't wait to see the finished piece!

Both of my daughters are photographers and I love your site, love your photos and am really loving this camera embroidery!
ReplyDeletei'm really hoping the entire series ends up in flickr... that would make the perfect theme for the 3 baby quilts i need to make for friends.
ReplyDeleteIs that camera pattern your own design? Love it!
ReplyDeleteAnd love the vintage patterns, too. You find some great ones!
Do you have a B? My daughter is getting married and she will now be a B!
ReplyDeleteThese are great, thank you!
ReplyDeleteYour WIP looks great, you are so, so good.
I grew up in Williamsport, and fondly remember the Sunday Grit. I think it ceased publication while I was in HS in the 80s.
ReplyDeletethank you all for your comments!
ReplyDeleteI'll try to post the rest of the set next thursday :)
Oh! I'm working on a set of hoops for hubby with cameras! Can you tell me where I might find this pattern?

I love to keep myself worn in my own creations too. My favorite quilts to sleep in happen to be the one I made. I guess it's the pride I take in my own creations and the fabric I choose to. I picked nice and soft materiel to make my quilt.
