Hey, love your blog and follow it quite frequently! This post is a HOOT! You have a great sense of humor and I love all the wonderful embroidery patterns you share - I have stitched quite a few tea towels lately!
I must admit - I would totally wear that red ruffle baby doll ensemble. However, this post is just further proof that vintage patterns and sewing/craft books are THE BEST fodder for comedy ever. What is going on in that last photo? We are drinking and smoking shoulder to shoulder, but we can't look at each other. Too cool for that. Also the random viking they stuck in with the Teen Beat wannabes doesn't blend so well.
I just found your blog and I love this post. Def. early 70's. I remember with great fondness my very cool, plaid, elephant-bell pants with wide belt that I had in junior high.
thank you so much for stopping by & leaving a comment - they totally make my day! I try to answer questions but unless you have setup your profile to provide your email, or included it in your comment I won't be able to reply to you directly, so I will leave it in the comments :)
Wow...how terribly...uh...stylish they all look!
ReplyDelete*sniff, sniff*
ReplyDeleteyum, Courvoisier, Old Spice, and cigars!
Seriously though, i would totally make and wear that black/grey plaid skirt that hangs to the floor!
i am rather curious as to what the girls in the baby doll tops are doing...is she drawing on her pants?
neat book!
These images are from the 70s? I would have never guessed! :)
ReplyDeleteFun find! (and dare I admit that I'm drawn to that yellow suit and the shape of her hat??)
Love the plaid suit! Is that Woody Harrelson in the last picture (centre)? I smell sweaty polyester!
