I finally finished the stalled project...and see, it was funny I said stalled because its an embroidered ode to vintage wood-paneled cars:
the overall piece is 18" x 11" & I got the illustration from a thrifted book. I created the wood paneling by scanning a piece of wood-grain contact paper then manipulated it in photoshop to make the scale & perspective work for the image, then printed it out on avery printable fabric. vroom vroom!
moving on to...this week's vintage embroidery transfer:
and guess what?! I finally set up a pool on flickr where people can show off finished projects they made using patterns I provided :)
I've seen so many beautiful pieces people have stitched up & realized that others might find inspiration for color or type of stitches to use by seeing them too - so please become a member & add your photos to the pool.
