when I arrived at the airport at the start of my vacation, my wonderful mother picked me up with a hug, kiss & the estate sale listings from the local paper :) over lunch we picked a promising sale & a short time later I was the happy owner of two boxes full of vintage stamped embroidery linens as well as a bunch of other things:
we both had so much fun digging through all the stuff. growing up my mom took me to flea markets & country auctions...taught me how to bid & talk a seller down in price, she loves a good sale as much as I do!
which brings me to today's vintage embroidery sample, which has nothing to do with anything except I thought they were strangely cute:
happy stitching!

What a great greeting! So nice to have a mother-daughter hobby, and what great finds you found!
So jealous of your wonderful finds! What a fabulous greeting for you. Thanks for sharing the adorable pups!

These pups are perfect! They look so much like my Petey the Boston Terrier did when he was a wee one!! Thanks so very much!!
I'll send a pic when I get him stitched up with Petey's supervision. He'll make sure i get his blue eyes just right!

sounds like a great time. hmmmm, this first little pup looks mad!
I love how close you are to your mother. Some family have huge issues with each other. I'm glad your more mature then that.

I redraw the old embroidery patterns and sell them on Ebay. I also have a website at atticquest.com I used to do this with my mom when I was little so I wanted to share this with other Embroidery folks. There are also men that do this and that's great to hear!
