a thrifting premonition

recently I came across a spectacular '70's flocked dress at the thrift store & although it was too small for me I got it since it was only $2.

cut to a couple weeks later, I get an email from a friend saying she needs a fairy princess type dress for halloween...I brought her a bunch of options but in the end the $2 "karen carpenter" dress was just right & I was just a little bit freaked out by how kismet the whole thing was:
