everything was for sale at this hundred year old house in the heart of hutchinson amish country, right down to the built-ins, because it was going to be demolished to make way for a new home built by the daughter who had inherited the farm from her parents.
after the sale, driving down the dirt road on the way back to town I stopped to say hi:
The whole post brings back so many memories - reminds me that we're all not so different after all. Grew up in the 70s in WV + my great grandparent's home was pretty much the same as your photos. It's too bad on some levels, but I guess progress is how we become better. Thanks for shooting while you were shopping.
