Sometimes you just gotta spice things up! Enrico looks like he'll be quite handsome after a haircut and a shave... or whatever you do to clean up an accordion.
You play really well! It's as fun to watch an accordion being played as hear the music.
thank you everyone for your comments! I'm glad people are okay with this blog evolving to include my accordion adventures :)
thanks so much for the compliments on my playing - learning is definitely a challenge & I have to admit for every one time I play it well there are 10 times I screw it up! I did play piano when I was younger but I was not particularly accomplished - still it helps a lot for the right hand to be familiar with the piano.
speaking of playing I need to practice...I better go!
Oh my goodness, I can't tell you how much I LOVE the accordion! He is beautiful!!! I took lessons as a child for a short time{I think I was given lessons by a door to door salesman??}anyhow, I had to quit taking lessons because my Mom sent me away for the summer and for some reason never started back up. To this day I believe I'd be a professional traveling accordion player{just because that sounds like the BEST job in the World}if I'd continued those lessons :D You're really good...off to watch your video again~ and day dream :)
thank you so much for stopping by & leaving a comment - they totally make my day! I try to answer questions but unless you have setup your profile to provide your email, or included it in your comment I won't be able to reply to you directly, so I will leave it in the comments :)
ohh wow, it's so majestic!
ReplyDeleteThat lovely blue! But red is lovely, too - easy to love both.
ReplyDeleteVery awesome! I just got a teal accordion last week, so let's make a lovely-colored-accordion club!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I am very impressed with your progressing talent. I've played piano since I was 8, but accordion is much harder!
Chicago has been having weekly international music nights downtown. Apparently next week is an accordian-fest. It made me think of you.

Semper fi,

Enrico -- I love him. He's like the Liberace of accordions -- so flamboyant and glitzy.
ReplyDeleteI continue to be amazed at your progress. Please tell me you were already an accomplished piano player!
