Wow, this totally made my day! My grandmother made many of these for me in the 70's. I loved each and every one of them. I think I even still have a couple of them in a box in the basement. I will have to try to remember to look for them. Thanks for sharing!

Good heavens - *I* had that pattern book, and I made those vests one Christmas for everybody (all the women) in my then-in-laws family! What a blast from the past! I also made nose-warmers to match each one. *silly* They went over big.
Oh my! I had these patterns too. I learned to crochet when I was 6 years old, so by the time I was in high school (when these were popular) I was crocheting some of my own things. These are some of the first things that I made for myself and I wore them too. I made the ones with the flower motifs in them. Boy do I feel old!
LOL! My Mom has the exact same rib tickler as the top photo - same colors and everything - from when she was a teenager! I borrowed it when i was in high school for a Halloween party. Now my youngest sister has it in her possession and wears it occasionally (she's cute like that). Thanks for sharing! :)
Sooo cute and funny. I guess the male models were instructed to look as creepy as possible (at least, as creepy as someone can look wearing a brightly colored potholder sweater vest).
