there was a basket full of these ford times booklets at the same sale as the petticoat...if that bluebird one hadn't been on top I would have never gone through them. you can be sure I will be watching more carefully for them in the future though!
What a find! His raccoon illustrations are my favorite. My friend make a Charley Harper shrinky dink mobile for me: http://craftscafe.wordpress.com/2010/04/03/make-this-charley-harper-shrinky-dink-mobile/
I love it & will definitely bring more Charley into my home soon, though I doubt I'll ever be able to secure such a find!
Very cool! I have a Ford Times cookbook from the 1970's, I'll have to take another look at it. I don't recall that it had Charley Harper illustrations, but some of the recipes sound good. I didn't know there was a magazine. Argh - must not start to look for them!
i just happened upon a box of 123 issues of Ford Times, as I was going through them, I knew there was something familiar, then I remembered this post. The art is so beautiful, and I'm loving the recipe section in each issue, complete with an illustration of the restaurant. Lovley!
