I don't usually buy vintage clothing that doesn't fit on purpose, but I recently found two dresses that I had to get even if they were teeny tiny...here's the first one:
and here's a purse I recently also found that I would pair with it if I could:
Woah! I have the same purse, except it has a handle. That dress is amazing, I have several that do not fit me just so I can look at them in all their beauteous glory!
I have a weakness for carpet bags and that one is so lovely. I also have a habit of buying vintage clothes that don't fit me. There are some things you just can't pass up!
I recently thrifted a bolt of tapestry fabric, just when you think there is nothing left! The dress is lovely, the detail and cafe latte colored velveteen...sigh.... sometimes you just have to have it.
thanks everyone for supporting & understanding buying a dress that doesn't actually fit :)
adventures in dressmaking thank you also for making me feel less bad about it not fitting by suggesting it was made for a teenager...that totally makes me feel better!!
vivi those buttons go all. the. way. down the front of the dress...36 of them in total!
Oh they are lovely... I always have the opposite problem... always to much bust.... lol not me the dressed! You have great taste! I wish that they could fit you ~ The purse is to die for!
thank you so much for stopping by & leaving a comment - they totally make my day! I try to answer questions but unless you have setup your profile to provide your email, or included it in your comment I won't be able to reply to you directly, so I will leave it in the comments :)
