I guess you'd call it a tutorial - but don't get all excited...

because this might be one of those things that's obvious to everyone but me so you might have seen it before. still, I was pretty proud of myself on sunday when I repurposed a recently purchased pair of screw back earrings:

I bought these on etsy from JPsuniqueboutique but once they came I realized, for me, they were too big to make into post-type pierced earrings. then it occured to me not to remove the whole screw back at all, but to use it as a way to make it a leverback.

step one = snip:

step 2 = reshape:

step 3 = add:

all done!

recently thrifted

from the thrift store:

from an estate sale:

from a church sale:

the first time I saw that chair at the thrift store it was sold...I was sad but also kind of relieved since the last thing the living room needs is another chair.

but on subsequent visits it was still there.

finally last weekend I looked at the tag & it said that it hadn't been picked up within the allotted time so it was back for sale. so I bought it. the orange cushions even match the chair I got last year, so I called it fate. although, I guess fate's just another word for no self control...

recently thrifted

it seems that lately my thrifting has been mostly artwork...its not that I've been looking for it any more than usual, it just seems that its been finding me more than usual:

my favorite:

and wow - thank you all so much for the postive response to the designs! I think its convinced me to have some totes printed for the shop :)

including {thanks to vanessa's suggestion} a knit version:

sorry mary, no plans for a needlepoint version at this time :(

UPDATE: sorry to cause confusion...the knit version is NOT included in the giveaway.
