Just a quick post today to share this recently acquired book:
Title: Embroidery for Fun Publisher: Ondori Copyright: 1974
I grew tired of waiting for Ondori books to find me and went out in search of them. All I can say is that I don't know how people functioned before the internet...
Oh MY goodness! Look at that! It's so very like the Japanese Embroidery Books we all covet - only from the seventies.. so SO much better! Thanks for showing us these - I've never seen them before and they are LOVELY! Look at the crabs! Snap snap!
such fun...and I really, really, REALLY want to get into embroidery...so I ordered myself a (what I hope is the same) copy from Amazon. Woo-hoo! Thanks for the tip! This is why I blog.
thank you so much for stopping by & leaving a comment - they totally make my day! I try to answer questions but unless you have setup your profile to provide your email, or included it in your comment I won't be able to reply to you directly, so I will leave it in the comments :)

Oh my! I love all of those! But especially the tree and the little picture-frame-y motifs.
ReplyDeleteI might have to try and mimic those motifs for pictures in my Blythe dollhouse once I get it built.

ReplyDeleteI love all the little mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteI literally drool everytime I see an Ondori book of embroidery. So much fun!
