This has nothing to do with your post but I saw something cool and I thought of you the other day. : ) That sounds stalkerish, sorry. You should take a drive to Inman, KS and visit the little store there to see the vintage button display case they have. (you could make it a day trip--Hutchinson and Newton both have great thrift stores) This case is full of vintage buttons and even belt buckles. It's gotta be from the late 60s and it still has most of the buttons in it. It is amazing. They also have a little vintage jewelry case with owl necklaces and even a little mushroom one! So cute.

Just discovered your blog. I went back and picked up a bunch of the vintage patterns. Thanks so much for sharing these. I love the little girl and her mother patterns. Wouldn't these make a great Mother's Day present from a daughter. They could be done in hair colors that match the Mom and Daughter.

Actually, that's not a Pinto, it's an AMC Gremlin - probably vintage 1975-6. Those fancy racing stripes make me think of the Gremlin X model with the denim Levi's interior. Sweeeeeeeet!

This was the only car my parents ever bought brand new...it was purple metallic! Wish they had kept it... :)

thanks for all the comments!

chrys - thanks so much for the suggestion, it sounds like a place I'd really enjoy! you may well be seeing some photos from there soon...now that spring is here I'm itching to start getting out & finding places to photograph again :)

Melissa - I find most of the images I use in vintage thrifted books, the car specifically I found in a 70's clip art book.

Beth - that's a great idea! and I'm so happy you are enjoying the patterns :)

man, if I could go back in time to buy a car to have now I think the levi denim interior would be a must have...they just don't make cars the way they use to do they?!
