wednesday = books

Hello!

Today we will continue with a selection from the stack of books; a couple people asked for this one so I wanted to make sure to share it.

Title: Rob and the Robins
Author: Katherine T. Lappa
Illustrator: Janet McCaffery
Copyright: 1960
Publisher: G.P. Putnam's Sons

How cute is she knitting away while keeping her babes warm?!

I haven't read this one but while quickly skimming I see the Robins refer to humans as "No-Feathers" which I find quite amusing!

And these are my two favorites:

I'm glad you liked my apron "model" - I told him about all the nice comments he got and it went pretty quickly to his head. He's now demanding a deli platter be provided at future photo-shoots!

I also forgot to thank everyone for their nice comments about the paint-by-numbers and sympathies in regards to the other "bad" sale. Sometimes I wonder if what I post is going to be of interest to anyone, so it makes me happy when you guys leave comments and tell me you like the things I share here!

I knwo I've said it a million times, but my, I love vintage children's books! They're so satisfying. And don't you love that you can't even pick one favourite!

What a fab shade of green in the book - love the family tree. I know wat you mean about posting - it's a bit like sending a high tech message in a bottle - you don't know if it will reach anyone or not.x

I love the family portraits. We are watching a robin's nest in the wisteria on our front porch -- for the second summer in a row. The babies just hatched!
